About the Calendar #
I am so excited for this 2025 Bookish Calendar! Each month features its own book and as the year passes a book comes off the shelf, making room for more to come! Get it at Etsy!
This calendar is meant to sit on a desk and display each month clearly. After living abroad I became used to the Monday start calendars- the week starts on Monday and the weekend sits together at the end of the week. I think it makes more sense, so all my calendars are a Monday-start format.
I included some nice quotes with each month. I am not a writer, but I do appreciate the artistry and creativeness of those who can convey their feelings and observations through prose and poetry. The quotes all relate to the month or season and I think add a bit of whimsy.
How to Cut #
If you came here from Etsy, first let me say thanks for your support!
The calendar is a digital download, so the only way to get the calendar to look like it does in the above photos is to print and cut it out.
If you have a Cricut machine or another type of cutting machine it’s easy:
- Purchase and download the files.
- Upload to the machine software and follow the instructions for cutting.
If you don’t have a cutting machine, it’s still very easy to cut:
- First, print two images on one page.
- Use whatever cutting tools you have available, like scissors or an Xacto knife.
- A ruler is helpful to be sure every month had the same width and height; mark your measurements with a pencil or use a previously cut month as a stencil for the others.
Look at the images below for help.
I suggest printing on cardstock or another thick type paper. If you enjoy making things by hand and then having a beautiful and practical item to enjoy, then this calendar is perfect for you!
